“Washington’s most
successful hunting area.”
Washington State is
a relatively unknown hunting destination to the
rest of the world. Washington hunters have
quietly enjoyed some of the best Bear hunting,
Northwestern Whitetail Deer hunting, Merriam’s
Turkey hunting and Shiras Moose hunting
available in the western United States.
Bearpaw Outfitters also
offer hunts in Washington for Mule Deer, Grouse,
Bighorn Sheep, Varmint, Cougar, Coyote,
Waterfowl, and Elk, plus there’s plenty of great
Trout Fishing and Walleye Fishing in local
waters.
Location:
Based near Colville, a small town in Northeast
Washington close to Idaho and British Columbia,
Bearpaw Outfitters is right in the heart of
Washington’s most productive game country and
they know the best hotspots for hunting
throughout this area.
Amazingly, this little
region is consistently the top producing
whitetail deer, bear, moose, cougar, turkey, and
grouse hunting area in the entire state. It’s
simply great game country.
Your
outfitter, Dale Denney was born and
raised hunting in the mountains of Northeast
Washington. In 1977 Dale started outfitting and
since then Dale and his wife Tara have slowly
expanded their family owned hunting operation.
With 30 years of outfitting
experience in NE Washington, Dale, Tara, and
their family have endured the test of time. The
Denney Family and their crew of experienced
guides have outfitted hunters from around the
world, of all ages and backgrounds. Regardless
of your age or amount of hunting experience,
Dale and Tara have a hunt that’s just right for
you.
Indoor
Facilities: Accommodations include
cooked meals and lounging in the main meeting
room of the lodge, billiards room, indoor
bathrooms, and bunk beds in the cabins. Bring a
sleeping bag for the bunk beds. Groups of up to
16 can be easily accommodated. Game care
facilities include a lighted area for skinning
and hanging game with water faucet for clean
up.
Tent
Camps which are accessible by auto are
offered in the mountains for several species of
game. You have a choice of Full Service Camps
with meals included or Drop Camps where you are
on your own.
The
Terrain is a mixture of rolling mountains
and hills with valleys, but not as rugged as
many other western areas. There are good
proportions of evergreen forests, logging cuts,
natural openings, and crop lands.
Hunting methods often include the use of
stands or a blind near game trails, crops,
feeding areas, waterholes, and logging cuts.
Other effective methods include glassing, spot &
stalk, short brush drives, and hunting on old
logging roads.
Physical condition is not too important;
nearly anyone can enjoy a high degree of success
on most hunts regardless of their physical
condition.
Private Ranch Hunts are conducted on
properties ranging in size from 50 acres to 2500
acres. These properties offer excellent hunting
opportunities with the highest success rates for
many hunts.
Mountain Hunts are offered in numerous
mountain locations where some of the best trophy
animals have been taken. Success is sometimes
lower on the Mountain Hunts the trophy quality
can be the best.
Guided
or Unguided Hunts are available for most
species with or without accommodations.
Hunting Licenses: Licenses are sold over
the counter for deer, bear, turkey, elk, and
most species except moose, goat, and sheep which
are a limited draw.
Hunter
Education: First time hunters do not
need hunter education to purchase a license.
Anyone else is required to have Hunter Ed if
born after Jan 1, 1972.
Hunter

above the waist if hunting during general rifle
deer and elk seasons or during Upland Bird
seasons.

all items on the list; ask about any item you
are not sure of.
